Alcohol is too expensive. Especially when out.

But seriously, imagine if no-one drank during their time at uni? Guys would have to learn to talk to girls without 'shedding their inhibitions' first, people would be more intelligent, and cultural and scientific advancement would be driven to unparalleled levels! Now, I haven't personally spent a gigantic amount of money on booze, but I know of several people who used to regularly spend a couple of hundred dollars on drinks most nights! Crazy people! The bars and clubs are still laughing at them! 

On the other hand though, maybe it'd just be too boring without it completely... besides, no-one really wants to buy Chelsea.
